Acceleration: Keeping Up with the Speed of Innovation

The 6th Biennial FutureVisions Symposium at CSU’s Lory Student Center Theater on Friday, April 13, 2018, will feature nine noted experts on information and communication technologies. In illustrated 20-minute presentations, these visionaries will project five years into the future to explore big data, digital security and privacy, social media and psychometrics, the Internet of Things, augmented and virtual realities, and geodesign, followed by a keynote address on the Future of the Internet. The Symposium will address the rapid evolution of technology in each of these booming fields where the rate of change is accelerating and explore how we can manage their dramatic effects on individuals and society.

Audience members will have an opportunity to ask speakers questions in an open forum and are invited to a dessert reception afterward. The Symposium is free and open to the public – preregistration is not required.

Schedule of Events

FutureVisions is a half-day conference is held every two years on the main campus of Colorado State University in Fort Collins and features academic and corporate guest speakers who are experts in the information and communication technology (ICT) industry.
